Rebecca Carey, Co-President

Rebecca has been volunteering and co-chairing events for the PTA since her oldest was in kindergarten. This is her second year serving on the PTA board and she is super excited and honored to hold the position as Co-President this year. Rebecca is the mother of four children, two boys and two girls. Her oldest son is in 7th grade, her twin girls are in the 5th grade and her youngest son is in 3rd grade. Rebecca has a background in English literature and elementary education but is enjoying life as an always on-the-go stay at home Mom as well as volunteering for school functions and classroom activities.

Christine Mangelli, co-president

This is Christine’s second year with the Wading River School PTA. She previously served as Treasurer and this is her first year as co-President. She moved to the district in 2020 and is excited to be a part of this wonderful school community! Christine keeps busy with her four kids; a son here at WR in 5th grade and sons in Kindergarten, 9th, and 11th grade. 

Jennifer Oliveri, Vice President

This is Jen’s second year serving on the WR PTA board as Vice President.  She previously served as President at Prodell Middle School for two years.  She has daughters in 10th and 3rd grades and a son in 5th grade.  She is also a Girl Scout Troop leader as well.  Professionally she works as a physical therapist.
 

ALDA DARRAGH, TREASURER

This is Alda’s first year with the Wading River School PTA and is serving as Treasurer.  She moved to the district at the start of the school year in 2020 with her husband and daughter who is entering third grade in September.  She is looking forward to giving back to this great community through this service.  Alda is a Girl Scout leader for a 3rd grade brownie troop and is a Catechist at St. John the Baptist Church in Wading River.  Professionally, she works as a consultant for a Company in Bohemia providing accounting and tax services.

Jennifer Malinconico, recording Secretary

This is Jennifer’s first year on the Wading River School PTA.  She moved here last December with her family.  She is looking forward to becoming more involved in the school. She has 2 boys, one entering 5th grade and another entering kindergarten. 

Megan Fitzgerald, corresponding Secretary

This is Megan’s first year serving on the Wading River School PTA. She would often volunteer for events at Miller Avenue while her son attended. Now that he’s entering 3rd grade, she’s very much looking forward to volunteering more and being the corresponding secretary. Megan, along with her husband, son and toddler daughter have been in the SWR area for 5 years. In those short 5 years, her whole family has made lifelong friends and love this amazing community!
